The Henry is a 23-story off-campus student housing development serving the University of Tampa. Located a short walk from campus and neighboring entertainment, the apartments offer vibrant and convenient housing for their residents. The 188-unit building boasts enticing amenities, such as an 8th-floor resort-style pool, a 24/7 market, study rooms on each floor, and fitness/clubroom space across 16 residential levels and 7 levels of attached parking.
Tightly placed in the Arts District and between two popular streets, The Henry required unique coordination to supply power and water to the site. As the MEP Engineering consultant, Jordan & Skala’s design team worked within location constraints to coordinate all utilities and vaults to meet design requirements and building needs. The building is conditioned by DX split systems and ventilated by 100% outside air rooftop units. All plumbing fixtures are low-flow, and each unit is supplied by individual water heaters, as typically found in high-rise developments.
Named after Henry B. Plant, known for his transportation network in Florida between 1880-1890, this student housing complex adds a comfortable and modern space for the growing campus community.
