Jordan & Skala Helps Grant a Wish
As a part of Jordan & Skala Engineers’ commitment to empower and engage the community, this year we partnered with Make-A-Wish® Georgia. Made up mostly by employee donations, we were able to raise $13,000 to help grant the wish of a child in need.
Over 27,000 children are diagnosed annually with a critical illness. Every 34 minutes, one of those children is lucky enough to have their heartfelt wish come true. Wishes help renew local families and communities disrupted by a serious childhood illness. With this project, we were given the power to turn a wish into reality. When it was announced that we would be supporting this cause, the entire office was on board. Sustainability Consultant, Kyle Donatucci led the fundraising effort by launching a year-long campaign in which all Jordan & Skala offices participated. The fundraising campaign was carried out through a monthly Super Casual Friday. On Super Casual Friday, employees could dress more casually than usual by donating $5 to the fund. Tying this laid-back dress code into the initiative added an extra incentive for everyone to get involved in something great! The participation we saw around the Jordan & Skala organization was inspiring. “We wanted to go above and beyond what we did last year, and I believe we did just that. From Denver to DC, it was amazing to see our offices come together to make a wish come true,” said Kyle.Jordan & Skala Engineers is honored to support such a great cause and we’re glad that our firm was able to make an impact in a young child’s life.
