2015 Holiday Collaboration with North Dallas Shared Ministries

Jordan & Skala Engineers is honored to have been involved in the clothing and food drive held by North Dallas Shared Ministries (NDSM) this past holiday season. North Dallas Shared Ministries is an organization dedicated to providing emergency assistance, helping people achieve long-term stability, promoting wellness and financial independence, and developing resource materials that lead people to additional services and support.

In addition to the day-by-day assistance previously mentioned, North Dallas Shared Ministries provides additional support around the holidays by collecting donated goods and clothing for those facing hardship. Volunteers from Jordan & Skala helped curate, package, and deliver canned goods and coats to NDSM, which then distributed the donations to people in need. This is Jordan & Skala’s second year participating in the food/clothing drive and volunteering. One recipient wrote a letter to express the impact these efforts made on her life:

Hi guys and ladies! My husband and I want to send you all a big THANK YOU! Thank you for your selfless service and your humble attitude! This is our very first experience with having to ask for assistance and your program was such a blessing! We feel like we can make it now.

The impact North Dallas Shared Ministries has made on the local community is both evident and powerful. Due to the help of volunteers and donations, NDSM is able to devote over 90% of its budget to client/patient services. Judy Rorrie, Executive Director of North Dallas Shared Ministries, writes, “You shared your gifts to help those who need NDSM’s help, and you gave me an opportunity to share with you. The impact of being thankful can be powerful!”
