About the Panel Discussion:
As codes expand to require more energy-efficient buildings and a new generation of environmentally conscious occupants emerge, the discussion of electrification is timelier than ever. Players and stakeholders in the A/E/C industry want to understand the design implications and first-cost impacts of this move from gas heating. We at Jordan & Skala Engineers are excited to have hosted a live discussion – “Electrification and Design Implications” – to address your salient questions and thoughts at this year’s 2022 BUILT National Multi-Housing Summit.
This session discusses the drivers for electrification as jurisdictions adopt more stringent codes and the Department of Energy’s 2023 Efficiency Mandate approaches. Additionally, the panel touches on how developers and design partners can prepare for these changes with early planning on electrical loads, early discussions for available MEP systems such as VRF, and the strategic use of energy modeling.
Jordan & Skala’s Principals, Regina Young and Corey Stenman, were joined by TEAL’s Product Manager – Heat Pumps, Ryan Green, and LG Air Conditioning Technologies‘ Vertical Sales Manager, Kurt Ehlers.
Thank you to all who joined the live discussion about the future of electrification in the A/E/C industry. Additionally, thank you to BUILT National for inviting Jordan & Skala Engineers to host this presentation.
