As a graduate of the University of North Texas with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Energy Engineering, Jody is deeply committed to smart building solutions and efficient energy usage. With this passion, he joined Jordan & Skala Engineers in 2017 as a Sustainability Consultant and swiftly advanced to a management position. He now serves as the Associate Principal and Manager of Sustainability Services in the Dallas office.

In his current role, Jody leads Jordan & Skala’s sustainability construction team, overseeing both the residential and commercial field service groups nationwide. He applies his technical expertise to align owner requirements with the design team, ensuring systems perform optimally. He is highly proficient in design & construction guidelines including ENERGY STAR, HERS, ASHRAE, IECC, Title-24 Commissioning, National Green Building Standard, and LEED. Additionally, his proficiency in Equest, Ekotrope, Bluebeam Studio, AutoCAD, and Archisnapper establishes him as a primary resource for commissioning and energy modeling information in both commercial and residential projects.

Experienced across various market types, Jody particularly values the impact of his work on the multi-family and single-family sectors. He continues his passion beyond Jordan & Skala by renovating older homes, where he incorporates sustainable design principles. A creative problem solver, Jody believes that exceptional customer service and effective communication are fundamental to any successful project.
