MEP Office Firm Jordan & Skala Engineers Hired by AIA Atlanta

MEP office firm, Jordan & Skala Engineers, is working with 5G Studio for the new office space for AIA Atlanta and AIA Georgia will be located in the Woodruff Volunteer Office Building in downtown Atlanta.  The design of the 2,000 SF ground floor space features functional work and storage areas for staff as well as flexible meeting and gallery spaces for public events and receptions.  The space is made flexible by use of a series of sliding, pivoting, and folding doors which allows the spaces to transform for necessary functions.  Targeted to achieve LEED Gold certification, the design features natural day lighting strategies as well as sustainable materials such as reclaimed wood, rapidly renewable cork, wheat board, and acoustic baffles made from 100% recycled plastic.

MEP office firm, Jordan & Skala Engineers, is providing comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design for this exciting project for the design community. The project is scheduled to begin construction in late November 2013 and will open in 2014.
